Yes, but that support will not appear on Moto/Intel until NS 4.0.
Although I could use the HP support since I have access to HP
machines, I have chosen to stick with something that will work
well for non-HP platforms since most MiscKit users don't have HP
access. Using the PB "hack" I have is quite simple and it will
be quite easy to move over to the library project type once that
becomes available.
Yes, I wish there were a 3.3 developer as it would make some of
these issues disappear. But we don't get so lucky. So any
improvements that are seen with the HP version don't show up
elsewhere until 4.0...and thus the MiscKit cannot rely upon them
until they are generally available.
> I thought, that somebody submited a hack for dynlibs for v.3.x. Am I wrong?
Well, someone approached me about how to do shlibs under 3.x;
they had hacked out how to do it. I never got the info though,
so I can't turn the MiscKit into a shlib. I don't think that
would be a necessarily good idea to do anyway, since there are
a lot of nasty problems, especially when it comes time to release
updates to the shlibs...
An alternative to that is to break the MiscKit into a bunch of
dynamically loaded bundles. The problem is performance--loading
up apps can become very slow. I am going to create a series of
bundles for several of the MiscKit objects, but that is more in
an effort to improve the IB palette support. Adding these will
give you more options in how you might make use of the kit, though.
Hope that explains it a little bit... :-)
